How do I get to the culinary centre and where can I park?

We are located at 103, 227 – 10 Street NW, Calgary. You can use public transportation as we are located one block south of Sunnyside LRT station in the heart of Kensington. If you would rather drive, you can either park at a metered street parking spot (free after 6pm) or at the Calgary Parking Authority lot see our Map for details.

NOTE: Please be advised that construction sites have blossomed in Kensington and that you definitely want to allow a little extra time to park.


What is included in the price?

Your class includes a beverage and a recipe booklet. Hands-on classes usually include your own wooden spoon to take home as well! (Check class listings for details)


What is the dress code?

For hands-on events, wear clothing that is comfortable for you and try to keep away from long and wide sleeves, as they may become a hazard while cooking. Close-toed footwear is extremely recommended and should be comfortable, as you will be standing at regular intervals for creating your dishes after each demonstration.


How long are the classes?

Hands-on classes are usually about 3 hours but can be up to 6-8 hours spread over 2 days, depending on the class. Hands-off educational events can be up to 3 hours. You can find all the details in our course catalogue and registration area.


Is seating possible during class if needed?

Absolutely. We have stools available during class and students are more then welcome to sit whenever they want. Please note that all of our classes have seating time during chef’s demonstration.


What if I am late?

Every class starts with a 5- to 10-minute educational discussion that would leave you time to catch up before starting the cooking demonstration and preparation.


What about wine?

Your class usually includes wine sampling with each course that is always picked to pair with your food (Check class listing for detail).

Additional wine is available on request – please, drink responsibly.


How many people are in a class?

Due to our COVID 19 policy, we only have a maximum of 10 people in our hands-on classes (Our hands-off / tasting events. being not available at this time)


Can I take my food preparation home?

Absolutely! If you don’t want to eat during our class sampling breaks, you can take it home for later. We will provide you with the necessary take-away container and based on your transportation and travelling time, you may want to bring along a small cooler bag.


How can I book for a group?

If you’re interested in booking for a group of 8 or more, please phone us directly, 403.764.2665,  and we can discuss options available to your party.


What is your class cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Classes are non refundable. In the event that a client is unable to attend our classes, an account credit may be offered to the customer if notification by email or by phone (no voice message)  to Cuisine et Château is provided a minimum of 72 hours prior to the class, this credit will be subject to a 10% administration fee.

In the event that a client cannot attend the class and 72 hours’ notice cannot be given, no refund will be offered – however the client may send someone else in their place, provided that the replacement individual brings with them a copy of confirmation of registration from the original client.

In the case that a class is cancelled by Cuisine et Château, a choice of full refund or credit will be provided to the client.


I would like to purchase a class as a gift for someone. How can I do that?

Our classes make a wonderful gift. Please check our gift certificate online or contact us for details.


Does my gift certificate have an expiring date?

Yes. Since September 14th 2020, all gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued.
Gift certificates purchased before September 14th, 2020 are valid for 18 months.

We do not issue gift cards at this time.


I have allergies and special dietary requirements, is that a problem?

Not at all! Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance of any dietary restrictions. We will be happy to ensure your requirements are met.
